With the closed captioning feature of Sony Vegas, you can create subtitles that can be stored as a separate file after creating a video file out of your project. Only when you process the video and make a video file, it will be embedded into the video itself. Drag it down to make it go in the background. If you drag the text up to the tracks, it will come to the foreground. You can drag the layers up and down to sort their preference. The text, with opacity or without it, is kept as a separate layer on top or behind the video layer. If I want to add text to a video in Sony Vegas, will the text appear on the same layer as the video? Or will it be on another layer on top of the video layer? What if it is transparent text? Will it still be on another layer or on the same layer as the original video? Thanks
